GREAT NORTHERN Railroad painting and lettering in the distinctive silver with green/orange end cab "Empire Builder" scheme. The GN used an RDC on rural branchlines and provided connects to many of the GN's transcontinental passenger trains such as the "Empire Builder" and "The Western Star". The GN's only remaining RDC car is still in operation on a tourist railroad in Oregon. |
