Ore cars were part of the MILW's freight car roster and lasted until the MILWAUKEE ROAD was abandoned and trackage divided to other railroads. The MILW served the iron ore and copper mining districts of Michigan's Upper Peninsula along the Great Lakes Region of the Mid-western USA. Orange with red/white CMSTP&P(a MILW predecessor)logo and black MILW lettering and numbers. A unique prototypically influenced paint scheme not ever modelled in 3-rail O gauge before. Has special reference to the MILW's facility at Ontonagan, MI along the Great Lakes. |
