ARRIVES 2012
N5C Caboose
PC/AMERICAN RAILROADS #4902

Artwork shows RMT-97915-4 as AMERICAN RAILROADS/PC #477968 N5-C caboose.

This caboose will be painted in the special blue and yellow colors that were used by the PENN CENTRAL(former PRR) on a GG-1 locomotive that powered the Golden Spike Centennial Limited passenger train between New York City to Washington, DC...between Washington and Utah, the train was steam powered.

For the May 10, 1969 centennial of the driving of the last spike, the High Iron Company ran an excursion train round trip from New York City to Promontory Point, Utah. The Golden Spike Centennial Limited transported over 100 passengers including, for the last leg into Salt Lake City, actor John Wayne. The Union Pacific Railroad also sent a special display train and the US Army Transportation Corp sent a steam powered 3-car special from Fort Eustis, Virginia.

RMT-97915-4 replicates the paint scheme and lettering of this famous train...

Delivery is expected in Summer 2012. However quantities are limited.

A companion AMERICAN RAILROADS #4902 GG-1 in the BLUE/YELLOW paint scheme, RMT-90215-4, will also be available.
