Photo shows production sample of RMT-96927 as RV #102. Caboose will be red with a yellow cupola and white RV lettering and number.
The Rahway Valley RR was a shortline railroad operating approximately 16 miles of trackage entirely within the state of New Jersey and had interchange connections with the CNJ/JERSEY CENTRAL at Aldene, the LV/LEHIGH VALLEY at Roselle and the DL&W/LACKAWANNA at Summit.
Chartered in 1897, the RV was one of the most successful shortline railroads in U.S. history, even turning a profit during the Great Depression but due to changing economic times was abandoned in 1992.
During it's entire history, the RV only rostered one caboose...RV #102...originally purchased from the LACKAWANNA RR.
IN STOCK...quantities are limited.
