Actual production photo shows RMT-92313 as ATK/AMTRAK #746 in the distinctive silver mist with red/black lettering and logo. Includes the Operation Lifesaver logo that was applied to at least 1 AMTRAK diesel locomotive.
AMTRAK did roster a few ALCO S-2/4 diesel switchers after startup in 1971. They were used primarily at the Auto-Train facility in Lorton, VA and also at Washington Uniuon Station to replace ALCO RS-1 diesels.
They were all subsequently retired after a short while.
RMT-92313 as ATK #746 recreates this unique addition to the AMTRAK roster.
