Photo shows RMT-92511-3 as LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD/LIRR #1834, with a special '175th Anniversary' logo. Also made as RMT-92511-2 LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD/LIRR #2009, with a special '175th Anniversary' logo.
The LONG ISLAND RAIL ROAD only operated 2 BUDD Rail Diesel Cars in suburban service on Long Island's East End. Operating singly or as a pair, these RDC's provided passenger service on some of the LIRR's rural and scenic branches. RMT now offers an LIRR RDC in 2 different numbers...1834 and 2009 to commemorate the anniversary...each featuring the unique 'Dashing Dan' commuter logo on the RDC's sides along with the '175th Anniversary' logo.
